At "The Village", no mom does it alone.
We’ve all heard the story: a mom needs childcare to get to work or class and turns to someone she thinks she can trust—a neighbor or a relative. Later, she learns that trust was misplaced and her child was harmed. Tragically, predators exploit moments like this to seek out their next victim.
"The Village"was created to change that story. We offer a safe, structured community of free housing where moms help moms through a planned childcare co-op, clear safeguards, and open, observable spaces. While children are protected and cared for, moms can focus on their goals—building skills, earning income, and moving toward true financial independence. No mom should have to do this alone, and here, she doesn’t.
"The Village" exists to protect children, strengthen mothers, and build futures. We provide time-limited, rent-free tiny homes, a child-safe environment, that allows mom to persue there goals of education and independence. With clear guidelines, outside counseling resources, and a supportive “it takes a village” network, we help families graduate into stable housing and sustainable work.
Safe today. Skilled tomorrow. Stable for the long run.
At The Village, moms don’t have to choose between caring for their child and building a future. In a child-first, tiny-home community, moms help moms—and families move from survival to stability. Children are safer . Families gain stability. Moms build employable skills and wellbeing & connection.
